Bristol Little League Fall Ball – Division Overview & Player Placement Guidelines

Bristol Little League Fall Ball offers players a great opportunity to continue developing their skills in a fun, instructional, and game-focused environment. Fall Ball is more relaxed than the spring season, yet still structured to help kids grow, stay active, and prepare for the next level of competition.

Here’s a breakdown of our divisions along with updated League Age placement guidelines:

🧢 Tee Ball

For League Age 4–6

League Age 4: Plays in Tee Ball.

League Age 5: Plays in Tee Ball, but may register for A Ball if they have played one season of Tee Ball.

League Age 6: Plays in A Ball unless a parent requests to remain in Tee Ball.

Tee Ball is focused on basic skills like hitting off a tee, running the bases, throwing, and catching. It’s a non-competitive and supportive environment perfect for our youngest players.

⚾ A Ball (Coach Pitch)

For League Age 5–8

League Age 5: Eligible if they’ve completed one season of Tee Ball.

League Age 6: Default placement unless a parent requests Tee Ball.

League Age 7: Standard placement; may register for Lower Minors (non travel) if they’ve completed one season of A Ball.

League Age 8: Can play in A Ball at a parent’s request and with Player Agent approval.

Coach-pitched games emphasize improving batting skills, building defensive fundamentals, and understanding base running.

⚾ Lower Minors (Introductory Player Pitch, Non Travel)

For League Age 7–9

League Age 7: Eligible if they have one season in A Ball.

League Age 8: Standard placement; may register for Upper Minors (Travel) if they have completed one season of lower minors.

League Age 9: Can play in A Ball at a parent’s request and with Player Agent approval.

⚾ Silver Division (Advanced Player Pitch /Travel) - Teams in this division for fall travel to play teams in surrounding towns

For League Age 7–10

League Age 7: Eligible if they’ve completed one season of Lower Minors

League Age 8: Eligible if they’ve completed one season of Lower Minors

League Age 9: Standard Placement; May register for Lower Minors (non travel) at parents request.

League Age 10: Standard placement unless player has previously played a season in Upper Minors already. If so they should sign up for Majors Travel.

Silver Division includes full player pitching, advanced defensive play, and strategic baseball in a controlled setting to prepare for Majors.

**We will move to a waitlist after 36 players are registered , If we get enough on the waitlist for an additional team we will add players from it accordingly.**

⚾ Gold Division (Travel) - Teams in this division for fall travel to play teams in surrounding towns

For League Age 9–12

League Age 9 : Eligible if they have one season in Upper Minors

League Age 10 : Eligible if they have one season in Upper Minors

League Age 11: Standard Placement ; May register for Upper Minors Travel at parents request and Player Agent approval.

League Age 12: Standard placement unless special circumstances are approved by the League President and Player Agent.

Gold Divison is a competitive division using full Little League rules, with a strong emphasis on sportsmanship, teamwork, and game strategy.

**We will move to a waitlist after 36 players are registered , If we get enough on the waitlist for an additional team we will add players from it accordingly.**

⚾ Transitional Division (50/70)

For players that are 2026 Baseball age 12

This division allows for graduating 12 year old's to experience their 1st season on the Big Diamond and the Intermediate 50/70 field.

When playing on 50/70 field they play using Intermediate Rule Book & When playing on 90 foot field they use regulated Junior league rules

It's Probable that teams may play two games a weekend, 1 on each size field

**We will move to a waitlist after 13 players are registered , If we get enough on the waitlist for an additional team we will add players from it accordingly.**

⚾ Senior Division

For League Age 13–16

Players compete on a full-sized diamond (90-foot bases) with complete baseball rules. This division helps older players prepare for middle and high school baseball while staying active in the league.

This division is broken into two sub divisions - Upper and Lower. This is to try and get as many kids playing at the appropriate competition level. Given the number of teams, Upper division teams may play against lower division teams.

**We will move to a waitlist after 13 players are registered , If we get enough on the waitlist for an additional team we will add players from it accordingly.**

Note:

The League reserves the right to make exceptions to these guidelines to accommodate special circumstances. All player placements will consider skill level, safety, and developmental needs.
